Wow, I feel like Brandon completely changed over night! Like he went to bed as a newborn and woke up an infant! I can tell from the way he has been observing things around him... It seems like he's really beginning to look at the world differently. It could be that his eye sight has become sharper and is able to see further! The other day while we were sitting on the couch Josh got up and walked across the room and Brandon watched him closely the whole way. It was such an amazing experience to see your child developing their skills right before your eyes! Now, with his eyes able to focus a lot better, playing with him has become a lot more fun! He's beginning to really enjoy his jungle gym play mat along with his rattles. I've read that around this age their little brain need more stimulation. So we sing to him and talk to him every chance we get. He usually responds with a lot of smiles and coos. We are having so much fun with him now!
I think that Brandon is officially over his crying phase!! Thank God! It was so hard to distinguish what cry was what when he cried all the time, but now he only really cries when he's hungry, tired, or need to be changed.
He's sleeping a lot better ever since we started our new routine! We've been doing the wake, change, play, eat, and sleep routine.
His naps can range from 15-30 minutes
Then when he wakes up we try try to get him going with a little song so he's in a good mood.
We play with him for a little while. Whether with just chatting, singing, tummy time, or watching Mickey mouse club house (cause it's super colorful and the characters voices are pretty high pitch which he loves). It's all about the stimulation to get him nice and tired!
He has been liking this new routine and we have realized that he's beginning to sleep at least 4 hour stretches at night!
Milestones so far:
He is getting better at controlling his arms and legs which makes him super wiggly!
He has learned to role over!!! I'll have a video here shortly!
He's discovered his voice and loves to talk to himself!
He still loves his hands an cant keep it out of his mouth!
He is now better at being put down. We are trying to slowly break him from being carried all the time... He used to only fall asleep on our arms, now he's sleeping on his own... He's still in our bed, but oh well...baby steps I guess?
